Cilantro and Broiled Eggplant Pasta

1/2 ounce cilantro leaves
2 tablespoons pine nuts
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
3 cloves garlic, crushed
juice of 1/2 lime
8 tablespoons olive oil
8 ounces favorite pasta shape
1 large eggplant

Cook your pasta as you prepare this dish. In a blender puree the cilantro, pine nuts, Parmesan, garlic, lime juice, and 4 tablespoons olive oil. Cut the eggplant in half lengthwise then into thinly sliced quarters. Brush with the 2 tablespoons remaining oil, season with salt and pepper. Broil for 4 minutes. Turn them over, brush with 2 tablespoons oil again, season again, and broil another few minutes until cooked and tender. Drain pasta, toss with eggplant and the cilantro sauce.
